BWD: First things first; introductions, who the hell are ya?
Risqué: Newcastle’s Undead Queen of Halloween, Risqué
BWD: How long have you been performing?
Risqué: About 2 and a half years now
BWD: What’s been your favourite performance so far?
Risqué: My Cliff Richard Striptease number from Halloween 2019
BWD: Show us one of your most fabulous looks?
Risqué: Just the one? pull the other one!
BWD: Fine, you can have two, but only cos you look damn good!
BWD: Who are your biggest idols?
Risqué: Vampira, Bettie Page, Elizabeth I, Bette Davis, Theda Bara, Dita Von Teese (all vamp vixens in their own right)
BWD: Tell us something absolutely random about yourself?
Risqué: I’m absolutely terrified of spiders and snakes, and the sight of an earthworm makes me vomit… I can also pop my elbows out the wrong way (through the front of my arm)
BWD: Honestly those are absolutely rational fears to us. Please keep your elbows firmly as they are!
BWD: Any advice for someone wanting to embrace the art of drag?
Risqué: Make drag what you want it to be and not what people expect it to be, make your own rules and then break them, enjoy what you do and be creative with it
BWD: One song to be your anthem, go!
Risqué: Devil Woman by Cliff Richard (it was clearly written about me right?)
BWD: We definitely can’t argue with that one, plus we’re scared you’d sacrifice us if we did 😛
BWD: If you had to recommend us a fellow fierce entertainer, who should we hit up?
Risqué: Choriza May (a fellow Bad Wear Day Girl), Crystal Meth (one of my favourite queens ever), Anna Morphic (shes my drag mother but don’t tell anyone cause she will pretend she isn’t) and Louisianna Purchase, an amazing Dragula s3 Queen, my fellow vampire bitch (I got the pleasure to meet her this year and have since made a few gowns for her)
BWD: So many fabulous artists, absolutely follow the lot (they’re all linked up for ease!)
BWD: Finally, what’s your fave design from our collection?
Risqué: Obviously the Risqué Ouija Board init?
BWD: Guess it is quite cute…….
